DIN 6796 Conical Spring Washer A2 ISO 10690 Belleville Cupped Stainless Steel 304 Purification M12-M24
$13.99 – $111.49
Description
DIN 6796 conical spring washer A2 is also known as belleville washer, coned-disc spring, conical spring washer, disc spring, Belleville spring or cupped spring washer, is a conical shell which can be loaded along its axis either statically or dynamically. A Belleville washer is, then, a type of spring shaped like a washer. It is the frusto-conical shape that gives the washer a spring characteristic. Through the years, the request of always greater precision in calibrations process, the availability of new materials and new and more accurate calculation methods, led to the introduction of the disc spring into all areas of technology and now disc springs are used in a lot of industries: automotive, building, defense and so on. In the different fields, if they are used as springs or to apply a pre-load or flexible quality to a bolted joint or bearing, Belleville washers can be used as a single spring or as a stack. In a springs stack, disc springs can be stacked in the same or in an alternating direction and of course it possible to stack packets of multiple springs stacked in the same direction. As said, multiple Belleville washers may be stacked to modify the spring constant (or spring rate) or the amount of deflection. Stacking in the same direction will add the spring constant in parallel, creating a stiffer joint (with the same deflection). Stacking in an alternating direction is the same as adding common springs in series, resulting in a lower spring constant and greater deflection. Mixing and matching directions allow a specific spring constant and deflection capacity to be designed. Ever Hardware provides custom made fasteners and customizable packaging.
Stainless steel DIN 6796 conical spring washer A2 does not readily corrode, rust or stain with water as ordinary steel does. However, it is not fully stain-proof in low-oxygen, high salinity, or poor air-circulation environments. There are different grades and surface finishes of stainless steel to suit the environment the alloy must endure. Stainless steel is used where both the properties of steel and corrosion resistance are required.
Stainless steel differs from carbon steel by the amount of chromium present. Unprotected carbon steel rusts readily when exposed to air and moisture. This iron oxide film (the rust) is active and accelerates corrosion by forming more iron oxide; and, because of the greater volume of the iron oxide, this tends to flake and fall away.
